Siren Publishing was founded in 2007 as an independent publishing house to bring together the newest voices in contemporary literature, publishing works by today s writers who speak to life in our time in Turkish. Our first published book was the novel Anıkolik (Confessions of a Memory Eater) by Pagan Kennedy. And over time, our focus on translated literature deepened and evolved; our awareness of the times we live in paved the way for new books. Works by authors such as Jonathan Safran Foer, Rivka Galchen, Dave Eggers, and Colson Whitehead met their Turkish readers, often simultaneously with their original languages. We continue to offer readers the newest voices in world literature alongside modern classics that can be considered pioneers.
