Kurdish Women s Clothing is the epitome of a story lived by Nevin Reşan Güngör for about twenty years. Güngör undoubtedly acted in line with certain reasons and purposes when starting and finishing this work. One of the most important reasons was to record traditional Kurdish women s clothing and prevent it from disappearing or being appropriated by other nations, while the most important purpose was to transmit it to future generations and to attempt to rebuild the ancient culture.

Doğan Kılıç (1927-2004) was an intellectual who broke new ground with his Kurdish-Alevi identity. His legal struggle for those who lost their lives in the Dersim Massacre, his publication of the first Turkish-Kurdish newspaper Roja Newe and the first Alevi newspaper Ehlibeyt Yolu in the history of the Republic, and his being the first journalist from Turkey to interview Mele Mustafa Barzani are just a few of the firsts we can find in this book about Doğan Kılıç. This study traces the life of Doğan Kılıç, who lived a life entangled in massacres, imprisonment, and exile. Although once one of the most renowned intellectuals in the Kurdish-Alevi community, he was eventually forgotten. His life began in Erzincan and ended in Oslo.
