Nisan Publishing has been continuing the publishing line of Umut Publishing, which was founded in 1988 as part of the struggle of oppressed segments of society for equality, freedom, and justice, pursuing a social realist publishing approach. Nisan Publishing s mission is to present its readers with a scientific analysis of the processes and real structure of society from past to present, outside the dominant official ideology and narrative. It focuses on the reality of all communities, classes, cultures, beliefs, nationalities, and gender identities living in these lands and their struggle for freedom.
