Kadimo Publishing started its publishing life in 2020 as a brand of Karum Consultancy and Education Services, which was founded in 1998 by Ayşe Sezer Aksoy, herself a Nonviolent Communication traveler, with the intention of developing children s books and various educational materials to disseminate the Nonviolent Communication method. Since 2009, Sezer Aksoy has been conducting various Peace Language workshops and programs to reduce the increasing violence all over the world and to build a culture of peace by spreading the Nonviolent Communication method developed by Marshall Rosenberg in institutions and especially in schools. The book Giraffe Language School is the first in a series of children s books written in Turkish on the theme of Peace Language, written with the intention of serving a social change, primarily for primary school teachers, students and parents. In order to convey the Non-Violent Communication method to students in a joyful, entertaining and catchy way, it has been designed using the learning by living method through real life examples, where dialogues are featured predominantly.
