Sia Kitap was founded in August 2019 by 2 partners; its first books were published in September, 2019. Its catalogue consists mainly of contemporary literature (by Turkish and foreign authors) , classics, modern classics, crime fiction, non-fiction, poetry, children s books, biographies, history books. In 5 years Sia Kitap has successfully published 285 titles, in spite of the covid-period. The catalogue has renown international authors like J.M.Coetzee, John Banville, Pascal Mercier, Peter Handke, Judith Hermann, Tahar ben Jelloun, John LeCarre Lately we have taken over Monokl Publishers, which has been publishing quality books in the field of literature and philosophy, as our imprint. We will continue its programme and enhance it further. The Nobel Price winner of 2023, Jon Fosse, is among Monokl s authors with all his books.
