Günışığı Kitaplığı, the pioneering publisher of contemporary children s and youth literature, was founded in 1996. For 30 years, it has published high-quality works from Turkish and world literature, keeping all titles continuously available through reprints. Its publications are grouped into three categories First Books, Children s Books and Young Adult Books. The Bridge Books collection, which brings master authors together with young readers, earned the 2010 Memet Fuat Publishing Award. Its imprint ON8 publishes distinguished works of young adult literature for readers aged 15 and above. Günışığı Kitaplığı received the 2011 Publisher of the Year Award by Dünya Kitap and the Publishing House Award at the 2022 Freedom of Thought and Expression Awards given by the Turkish Publishers Association.
