Turkish Authors Association The Turkish Authors Association, with its Headquarters in Ankara, is a nationwide writer s organization founded on March 2, 1992 with the vision of removing the obstacles in front of the freedom of thought and creation; gathering people who acquired authorship and helping their literary works being published and recognized; aiming to provide professional solidarity and accomplishing projects and activities within the framework of these goals. The association has got around 600 members in over 50 cities as of 2023. The Turkish Authors Association is a member to the European Writers s Council EWC). EWC is the European federation of national and trans-national authors associations in 33 countries of Europe Turkish Authors Association has not been affiliated with any political bodies. It is a civil, democratic, secular and independent organization empowered only by its members and operates on its relevant professional interest and aims.
