Latest Publications

You'll be able to find the latest books on the fairgrounds! The fair, which was held last year with the participation of 1.015 publishing houses and non-governmental organizations from Türkiye and abroad, also hosted newly published or promoted works that did not reach large audiences. Hundreds of Authors

Book fairs host special events where authors meet with their readers and organize book signings. In 2024, book lovers met with writers and poets at more than 450 cultural events and more than 2.500 signing days. An Istanbul Book Fair Tradition: Honorary Author

In 2025, the TÜYAP Cultural Fairs Advisory Board selected Murathan Mungan, one of the most versatile voices in Turkish literature, as the Honorary Author of the 42nd International Istanbul Book Fair. With his extensive body of work spanning poetry, short stories, novels, and plays, Mungan had left a strong mark on the literary world and became the focal point of that year’s fair. Participants and visitors had the opportunity to closely witness the author’s literary journey through special talks and events held with his participation.

The main theme of that year’s fair was “All Forms of Literature.” The theme aimed to create a multi-layered cultural meeting by embracing different literary genres, narrative forms, and voices. Murathan Mungan’s multifaceted literary universe had also shaped the fair as the strongest representation of this theme. The 42nd International Istanbul Book Fair once again reminded audiences that literature is not merely a genre or a language, but one of the ways to understand life, memory, and humanity.

Held between 13–21 December 2025 at the TÜYAP Fair and Congress Center, the event welcomed book lovers with thousands of books, author meetups, book signings, panels, and talks in a rich cultural program.

Following the 42nd International Istanbul Book Fair, the 43rd edition, to be held between 12–20 December 2026, once again invites visitors to experience a vibrant and inspiring program filled with the many colors of literature.
